What's been happening at JoyCorps

(Q2  Updates)

Aspire

  • The Aspire Ignite program in Nepal concluded with the pitch event; 5 entrepreneurs graduated from the Nepal cohort. In the Indian city of Purnea, Bihar, the Aspire edition also concluded with 6 graduates ready to launch their ventures.

  • A new Aspire cohort launched in May in the city of Greater Noida in Uttar Pradesh, with 8 entrepreneurs enrolled.

  • A Refresher program for Aspire facilitators was held on July 7, on topics related to business finance and pricing.

Aspire Beyond

  • Aspire Beyond held another in-person gathering with the cohort in Dehradun, marking the mid-point of the program journey.

  • Aspire Beyond entrepreneurs met with the JoyCorps Studio team to discuss their guiding star and near stars for greater social impact. In design thinking, the guiding star is the venture's vision, while the near stars are short-term goals that help move the venture towards that vision.

  • The cohort members also began a dedicated deep dive into the Rule of Life, which helps entrepreneurs stay grounded in values that are meaningful for their work and family life.

Studio

  • JoyCorps Studio completed a project with Lamprini in Kolkata to explore what community transformation could look like in one of the city’s largest red light districts.

  • JoyCorps Studio also released the final episode of its podcast series for this year, featuring filmmaker Sean Tuckey.

  • Our Lead for Development, Sarah, did a 1:1 interview with one of our partners. In this conversation, the partner shared his own journey with redemptive entrepreneurship, how success doesn't look like money, and a few pointed views of what makes JoyCorps' work unique.
